Week 68 -- Straight Grey

Hey I'm back again. This past week has definitely been the classic Germany weather. I swear I have not seen the sun. Straight grey. Non stop rain.

This week we had a way cool experience. I was on a split in Mainz and our appointment fell through and stuff so we decided to go by on a less active family that was where we already were. This cute mom had 20 minutes before she worked. She wanted to chat. Then she started opening up. About her family that is not a complete family. About her kids. How she is at such a low place that she can't even help them. That she can't quite understand God's plan and how she's supposed to be happy. She doesn't want to come to church with everyone who is happy. I got to tell her about the Christ I know. And that he suffered for her. That he knows her pain and her darkness but that he can take it from her. That she can have hope and light again. She then said that she was going to start reading the Book of Mormon every day. It was one of those that I knew I was right there at the right time. That there was nowhere else I wanted to be. It's crazy the love you feel for people that you have never even met. So much that you cry with them.

Anyway. Hope you guys have a good week

Week 67 -- It's Been Awhile

My great uncle emailed me and thought that I had taken him off my email list cuz he hadn't gotten any emails😂
sorry guys, way bad at these things. It's been a while. For an update, I am still here in Frankfurt. I sent sister Grijalva home and my new companion is sister Konietz. She's German. I guess God just really wants me to learn to love this German culture or something😂

We've had some way cool experiences lately. The temple literally brings miracles. I was on a split in Friedrichsdorf (where the temple is) and we got a temple referral. This dude is the most prepared dude I've ever met. He loves Christ and the book of Mormon and shared his cute testimony with us about knowing it's true. Then told us how he just wants to follow Christ. We prayed in that moment to know when he should get baptized. He's getting baptized this month

We had a conference with someone from the 70. Elder Kopischke. He talked about completing families on both sides of the veil. So We've been going into our dinner appointments and when we are just chatting we just ask the right questions to find out about there families and who is members or not or not really coming anymore. By the end we are able to invite them to pray with whoever it is that could use the most prayers maybe to be able to see the light again or feel gods love again. I know when people pray for me and my family it means the world to me, and that is how it's been for these people too. Other than my prayer list getting really long we've gotten to see miracles with the people they love. I keep learning over and over the power of prayer.

Love you guys.

Sister Clegg

From her comp, Sister Konietz letter:
Something Sister Clegg and I have been doing is that each evening we message a member and ask if their family could pray for us to see miracles the following day and then in the evening we send them a message of what happened that day. It has been so much fun doing this! The members really are amazing and I love telling them at the end of the day of the miracles. It really has helped us get to know the members more and build up a better relationship with them. Also we have seen so many miracles since we started this that it just makes me so thankful for prayer. Prayer is really just amazing!
