Week 24 -- Christmas Markts

We are seriously seeing miracles. We have 2 people on date for December. Solingen has only seen 1 baptism in the last 12 months so everyone is so excited. Now we gotta go clean the cobwebs and spiders out of the font.

Also they have been putting up the Christmas markts. Everyone should just come here to Germany and spend it with me because it is amazing. I will try to put a video. It doesn't do it justice tho.

Week 23 -- Changing a Tire

 Yo sorry don't have tons of time. Funny story we were eating in a bakery and I was chewing on this stick thing because I always do and it broke and went flying onto this guys tray across the room. Then this other dude was just laughing his head off. But the guys tray that it landed on was not too happy. Lol. 

Also we got do a little service. We helped this lady change all 4 tires. Don't worry dad, we could do it. Well mostly sis weakley. All I did was jump on the wrench thing when she told me to. But it always make you happy when you help others.

We also had stake conference and I have never seen so many nice Germans all together. Hahah it was a new experience for me. Thanks for all the prayers.

Also... yesterday we had the chance to help one of our investigators change all the tires on her car. So thanks dad for making me learn how to change a tire because Clegg and the lady both didn't know how and could not even loosen the bolts... So yours truly changed 4 tires all by myself with Clegg occasionally jumping on the star wrench to get the really tight ones!  Haha it was a dang good time... and it was pitch black outside so I didn't realise how dirty I was until I came inside! Pictures included!

It rains here all the time and we stomp in the puddles!! 

Sometimes we smile and sometimes we just up laughing! 

Also... We love food! And the bakeries here are heaven!!!! 

Week 22-- Screaming in German

 This week was a good week. One highlight was we were dooring a little bit one night and here in Germany you got to klingel from out side then they let you in and you walk up 5 flights of stairs and they slam the door in your face and you do it again. So this time something exciting happened. I was walking up and all the sudden I hear the biggest thud. Turned around and Sister weakley was flat on the stairs. Hahahahaha she tripped up the stairs. It was the funniest thing. She's good at keeping us laughing. 

We also went to visit a 93 year old woman in the ward. She is sick and can't come to church. So we bring her flowers and water her plants sometimes. She really can't see very well or hear hardly at all. So we read in the Book of Mormon. Just imagine this. Its me and sis weakley, in this little German apartment with this old cute lady that can't hear. We are sitting right in front of her trying to read the scriptures to her in german. But you have to scream it. Hahahah. Ya us trying to read in german is the first funny part but then screaming it at her makes it even better. Goodness I love it here.

We had my first zone conference! It was pretty great! My zone is working hard! We have 22 people on date for baptism and there are 41 people on date in the whole mission. Our zone has 22 of them!!!!!! There are 6 zones on the entire mission we are working so hard!!!!!! Its amazing!!!! 

We have had some crazy experiences this week!!!! All of which included sprinting to bus stops and train stops!!! Every time!!! Seriously! But its keeping us fit! Haha! 

We don't have thanksgiving here so we celebrate  Christmas early we found lights randomly in our house! So we decorated! It's been a blur of a week so I cant think of anything specific that happened... but wow! Its been a week full of miracles!  God is in the details! Sorry it's not interesting this week but today for p day we went and saw a beautiful mansion of a castle and then walked around the gardens. There was a beautiful Forrest and wow! Pictures don't even do it justice! Haha it was beautiful! Then we played 500 in the beautiful Forrest and got stinging nettle 'll over us by diving in the bushes for the dead or alive football! Haha! Good memories! And only one really big cut... medical skills coming in clutch! I love being a missionary and I wouldn't rather be anywhere else!  

Week 21 -- YARD WORK

So I figured out my companions dad is a massage therapist guy and he taught his daughter a thing or two. So I've been putting her to work and let me tell you my back is better than ever. I guess everyone got hidden talents. I have also been doing this thing where I leave her hanging when we talk to people. She talks to them and then when she doesn't know what to say sister weakley will look at me and I just look right back at her. Hahaha it's so funny. It's a good way for us to get a laugh and a good way for her to learn German. I think I'm getting a hang of this whole trainer thing lol. Rip sister weakley.

We also got to actually serve someone this week. Which never happens here in Germany. We were walking down the street doing go bys in a town and he was doing "yard work." Which actually means raking the leaves and picking weeds out of the cobble stone. We asked him if we could help and he said no and I said okay we'll help and we got down and started helping. Ended up talking to him about the Beatles and Bob Marley and skating and camping. He was a pretty cool dude. We helped him for an hour sitting in the freezing cold weeding the sidewalk. But I have never felt more joy. Ended up leaving him with a Book of Mormon.

IT'S FUN TO READ THE WEEK FROM SISTER WEAKLEY'S POINT OF VIEW.  HERE IS HER COMPANION'S WEEKLY LETTER:

This week has been one for the books! If you know me at all... you know that I don't get sick... unless it's strep... but seriously I don't get sick... well... I ate my words this week. My companion got sick and it was rough cause it's getting cold and stuff and she said careful sister weakley. You might get sick. But obviously she didn't hear my farewell talk because I'm sister toughley and I don't get sick... well, i ate my words this week and it tasted horrible!! I woke up with the worst sore throat and my companion shoved my words down my sore throat... I think she enjoyed it too much! But we are missionaries and we fight the sickness with finding and teaching. So we still did our work despite the freezing cold rain, and snow!!! And all is good!! 

We had an amazing experience to serve a man weeding his sidewalk... Because people don't have yards... they have cobblestone sidewalks and those need a lot of weeding! So we talked about skateboarding and the Beatles and big American cars for an hour and pulled weeds out of cobblestone! It is amazing What service does. When we were leaving I had a book of Mormon and I out It down to wash my hands and never picked it up.... I know! I thought I was pretty sly and sneaky and I put a card in it with our number and everything... he didn't even notice... so we left and were feeling great!! Half way down the sidewalk sister Clegg says... very smooth sister weakley, you are learning already! And I laughed. Before I could stop laughing we hear him yelling "hey!!! You two!!!" In German of course which I didn't understand cause he had a cigarette hanging out of his mouth and holding the book with both hands running! He said you forgot this!!! Hahaha!!!! But we let him keep it and he said he would read it!

Miracles are waiting for you everyday!!! All you have to do is ask for them, then serve your heart out for other people and they will burst into your life!! Im serious!

Everyone told me it was cold here... I want to apologize to you right now because on the outside when you told me that, I said yeah I know but on the inside I said... really, I don't get cold I'm sister toughley... I want to formally apologize!!! I am Sister weakley and I froze my butt off this week!!! The humidity and wind and rain and snow is the worst combo ever and I don't think my bones have warmed up yet... let alone my toes... Wow!!! This is literally the coldest weather I've ever had and I get 2 of these blasted freezing cold winters!!!! I couldn't be more excited!!! Hahaha!!!! It's gonna be a really good time!! (Yeah yeah... keep laughing...)

I love hearing about all of your weeks and crazy cool adventures on the other side of the world so don't hesitate to drop a line or 2 or even a voice memo! Those are always fun to listen too! 

I just thought I'd say a couple funny things that have happened in this beautiful city of Solingen. 

•A lady glared at us so hard from her car that she crashed... not bad just a little bump into a step... haha!!! 

•a guy made eye contsct with us and ran to the back of the bus... 

•we were walking down a street and a guy walked into a store stood by the door and waited for us to pass before be walked right back out of the store... haha 

• sister Cleggs been doing this new thing... she asks somebody a question and then when they answer with a question she looks at me... she just leaves me hanging and oh my goodness!!! It is... there are no words... haha! The first time she did it, i litterally said something that had nothing to do with what they were saying because ive been here 3 weeks and these people talk faster than Amber edgecomb!! And I can hardly understand her in English! So yeah! That's a good time!! I'm getting better though don't worry! Haha!! 

• sister Clegg had a runny nose but we didn't have any tissues so she just sat there and didn't talk to anyone on the bus because she was embarrassed by the little snotty friend she had... haha! It was the funniest thing... but I think you had to be there.

Week 20 -- "Lady Ran Into a Pole"

Yo have like 5 minutes. But this week some lady was staring us down from her car. Which is pretty normal here. But this time the lady was glaring at us so hard that she ran into this pole thing. Hahahaha oops.

Anyways it has been a crazy week. Spent only like 2 days here in Solingen. But we are seeing miracles. 

Met a guy that believed that god Christ and the holy ghost are one person. And I was just able to invite him to read the Book of Mormon. And that if he wanted to know if what we were saying was true then he could. Because what we teach is either true or it's not. The spirit was so strong. We really have something so special and it is so cool to see the spirit work in other people. Even when it takes talking to 10000 people to let one feel it. Even if they still reject it lol.

From Sister Weakleys letter:   We had to walk halfway because the bus didn't go that early in the morning. And i kid you not... over the river and through the woods... I'm serious! I didn't get a pic of the river but the woods is seriously our walk to church!! It's so pretty here!! 

Week 18 --New Companion Sister Weakley

Sorry people don't have tons of time. I got a new companion and I'm actually training hahahah. Her name is Sister weakley. I'm super excited and thing Solingen is going to see so many miracles for having us both be new. Love and miss cute sister Linebaugh already. Thanks for the prayers they are really needed.

Week 16 -- "Weirdest Experience of My Life"

Wow it has been a crazy week. We taught one of our investigators this week. He's like a 50 year old German man. Let's just say he's very German(pretty rude). And naturally we were trying to avoid the chastity lesson. But we finally had to teach it this week. Me and sister Linebaugh tried to teach then it ended up being him and the member yelling at eachother about it hahaha. Anyways he's got some problems with a couple of the commandments so at the end i just committed him to obey that commandment and the word of wisdom and all of the other commandment for one week. Which includes reading the scriptures and praying every day. I asked him if he would do that and he said "nein" so I was pretty persistent on getting him to commit. He asked me what he would get out of it and I said his salvation. Then he just laughed and said no really and I said if you follow them all for one week you will get an answer if the church is true or not he said what if I don't and I told him if you don't then it will be because you broke the commandments. After like 10 minutes he shook my hand and said you have a deal hahaha. So maybe everyone pray it actually happens.

Some lady also called and said she needed our help. We have no idea who she was. So we said we would come over. When we came she had been waiting for us and invited us in. Right when we sat down she told us that something is haunting her and told us all these crazy experiences that have happened to her. So we tried to testify of the BOM and the power in it and how it can help her and after we would stop talking and she would just tell us another story. Weirdest experience of my life.

I also have to say bye to my cute companion this week. Stay tuned for whose up next in Solingen. Thank you for the emails and prayers. Sorry I didn't have lots of time!
