Week 52 -- World With No Change

Sorry it's quick but better than nothing. This week I talked to a lady in the U-bahn. It's always interesting contacting. Not knowing who they are or what they have been through or where they are at in life, but knowing what you have can help them. No matter who they are. You just have to fit it to them. Anyway this lady told me she doesn't believe change is possible. That was the point of it i think with the stabs of what i am doing is stupid cuz its the impossible. I came out of this conversation thinking about a world with no change. And thinking about my life and where I would be without change. I thought about what makes it possible to be better. And I instantly thought of Christ and his atonement. Because of him we always have a second change. Not just a second, but a third and forth. How ever many we need as long as everyday we try. It's not just learning about Christ and know what he did and studying it. But actually becoming more like him everyday. It's about becoming that. We all know of him and the stories about him but what are we doing to actually become more like him everyday? Anyway just something to think about.
Thanks for all the prayers.
Here's some pics for all the things I don't talk about😂

Week 50 -- Transfered to Dortmund

Holy. So much has happened. My mom asked me to write a group for her birthday so this ones for you mom.

When I was with cute sister Christensen in Kaiserslautern we met the coolest kid. His name is Maurice. He's a 17 year old German. Right before I left we invited him to be baptized. Let me tell you about this kid tho. Contacted him on the street, gave him the book and a card. He ended up started it and texted us and said he already read 17 chapters of this book. Met with him and told him all about the book. The book that changed so many people's lives. He loved it so much that at the end he asked us if he could serve a mission when he becomes a member. Next time we met with him he printed our Preach my gospel and read the first 5 chapters....So yeah that's Maurice. When we invited him to be baptized he was nervous and kind of said no. So then I was like okay let's get on our knees and pray right here, right now. He said the cutest prayer and the holy ghost was so strong. He felt it too. Right at the end he ended and said "amen. Yes." In that moment he knew. Those are literally the moments I came out here for. Bummed I don't get to see his baptism and our other cute Diana. They are in good hands tho.

My new comp is sister Misiego. She was born in Spain but grew up here. So she's got the whole straight up right to the point German personality going. I love her lots.

Not sure what pictures my mom is going to attach but some are

-sunset and waffles
-sunset and picnic

Week 44 -- Elder Uchtdorf Visits

One of the best weeks of my mission. Got to shake hands and hear from Elder Uchtdorf for the 3rd time on my mission. The spirit you can feel is incredible.

Pascal put up a fight and finally got baptized after 3 dunks😂 I can't think of a better way to spend Easter than having a baptism. To top it off Sunday was his birthday. Never seen someone so happy. Also gotta Skype cute sister Andrew in.

We set our goals high this week and had to have some good faith and work to get those. First we had to get someone on date. Our friend Diana was a little nervous but after kneeling down together and asking God she took a step in the dark and wants to follow Christ and be baptized! We had no idea how we were gonna get our 4 people to church either. Everyone that usually comes was going to be out of town. So, everyone, we talked to on the streets we invited them to come and see what Christ church looks like. Sunday morning we were greeting everyone and waiting for our 4 miracle surprises. We had no idea how we were gonna get this goal but a lady on the street we talked to showed up with her daughter and mom! Then a guy a talked to on the street shows up. 4 people we invited off the street came to church. Shows how God always comes through if we do all we can.

Pics from the baptism. From Uchtdorf conference. And our cute little picnic. Plus the random pouring rain soaking us

Week 43 -- Indescribable Feeling

So I met the cutest Chinese girl like 3 weeks ago. Haven't been able to meet with her until this week. When she showed up to the church she was like uhh what are we gonna do here. Then we said we are going to talk about god. She said she has only seen him in paintings in museums. We were able to tell her who God is and his character and that he loves her. She kinda was like that's cool and all but I don't believe that. We were able to say her first prayer with her. After she said amen we just sat there in silence for like 2 minutes. Then she looked at us with tears in our eyes and the biggest smile on her face. We asked her how she felt. She said when she said amen she felt the most indescribable feeling. We told her that is God. She asked if she can always pray and how happy she felt. Moments like that are what I came out here to see. I know that God hears every single one of our prayers.

Found a this random petting zoo when we were walking to an appointment lol

Mom sent me a dope watch. Had to read the instructions for like 10 years till I figured out how to work it

Week 42 -- New Companion

Don't have too much time but sent another comp home. My now comp is sister Christensen. She's pretty fresh on the mission so we about to get lots of German help from the lord😂

This week we were suppose to go to a members house after church. After like 50 set backs we felt like we needed to go dooring so instead of going over we had them drop us off at this area we've been meaning to door. Comes to find out we had just been there earlier this week but couldn't find the person we went to visit. God sent us there twice so we knew there had to be someone. Ends up dooring the whole place with the usual stuff happening. Doors getting slammed in our face. Then the classic last floor last door this guy let us up. We told him about what we are doing and he said no way come in. We asked if anyone was there and he lived alone. We told him we weren't really allowed to come in. He said yo no problem let me just grab my jacket and shoes and we can walk outside and talk. Ends up teaching the first lesson and he loved it and were meeting with him again.

Pday shopping done at penny and the usual chocolate crasaunts

Got thrown into a dritt for a quick sec. That the new comp sister Christensen.
When I got another blonde comp one of the members said "that's good now you won't lose any of your investigators" lol

Week 41 -- Bratwurst

Had a cool teaching experience. Was late getting home but felt like we should stop this lady. We totally taught the whole first lesson and it was one of those moments where it feels like the whole world stops. She just loved it and listened. She was one of those people you just felt you knew before. It's cool to know in those moments you are at the right place in the right time.

Don't have any time but here's some pics.
There is sister Andrew with a bratwurst. We walk past it like 5 times a day and she literally thought it was a banana lol.

We had to move our baptism to next month because the ward wasn't tryna support us on the 30th lol.

Also pictured is the DI couch I've been trying to get sister Andrew to throw out for the whole transfer. It has a couple of years worth of sisters hair on it.

Then the cute fraus that we attempt to teach German to. They pretty much know more than me so.

Sis Andrew is about to go home. We're about to see who gets to be with me 24/7😂 everyone pray.
